St. John’s Church is a parish of the Diocese of Massachusetts of the Episcopal Church, the American branch of the world-wide Anglican Communion. We are a supportive community of Christian children, men, and women who strive through worship, education, hospitality, and outreach to serve as the Body of Christ in the midst of Beverly Farms, Massachusetts. We hope that you will enjoy exploring this web-site which we hope will introduce you to our common life of worship and ministry, all for Christ’s sake.

The Church School has been asked to contribute a group donation and we came up with an idea for a "Parent's Night Out"....pooling resources and purchasing local gift certificate(s) to restaurants and theatres, my daughter and I would provide the childcare. If you would like to contribute to the "Night Out" from the church school, you can respond to this email and let me know what amount you would like to contribute.....please keep in mind your participation is completely optional. Donors will be listed on the item during the auction.

Join Our Neighboring Congregations In Welcoming the Stranger - Organizational Meeting January 8, 2009 St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4 Ocean St., Beverly 7:30-9:00 Asylum seekers are people who have left home because of war, famine, religious or political persecution. RIM offers them community support which is aimed at helping them become productive members of our community. The results of this process are amazing. As one client stated: “You took me from nowhere to somewhere.” Another client insists she would not have survived without her Cluster. RIM also helps resettle refugees who are, like asylum seekers, seeking a safe place to live. Our Cluster assists them from the air port until they are independent. The North Shore Cluster is expanding and you are invited to become a part of this very exciting ministry. You will work on an interfaith basis with persons from other congregations to offer support services (housing, educational, medical, transportation, acculturation and employment) to asylum seekers until they achieve a durable self-sufficiency. Please join us on January 8th to learn more!

The cabaret performances are open to theatergoers and the general public, and suggested donations of $20 will be accepted at the door. The cast of Disney High School Musical 2 and the NSMT Orchestra will donate their time and talent to present lively cabaret-style performances featuring Broadway standards and pop songs on Thurs., January 8th at 9:45pm and Sat., January 10th at 10:15pm following the regular performances. In addition, dozens of local students from NSMT’s Academy of Music Theatre and Summer Stages programs will perform and share stories of NSMT’s impact in their lives on Wed., January 7th at 7:30pm.
